Daily Cleaning
To clean OKITE®, a damp cloth and non-abrasive all purpose cleaner is usually sufficient.Stubborn stains
Household cleaning products such as “Bar Keeper's Friend”, “Zud Cleanser”, “Lysol”, “Whirl” and “Formula 409 All Purpose Cleaner” are effective. For extremely stubborn spills, glass scraper can be used without causing damage to the top. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue which will likely diminish the shine of the countertop.Stains from grease, dried foods, paint, nail polish, etc.
Gently scrape away the excess with a glass scraper. As OKITE® is harder than a steel blade, excessive scraping may leave a gray metal mark. If this happens clean the area with a recommended cleaner (“Bar Keeper's Friend”, “Zud Cleanser”, “Lysol”, “Whirl” and “Formula 409 All Purpose Cleaner”) and a scouring pad, and any residue or marks should disappear.Sanitation in Healthcare applications
Even if OKITE® is NSF approved, certain application (i.e.: healthcare) may require additional protection against bacteria and/or mold.To sanitize OKITE® , “Formula 409 Antibacterial Kitchen” is sufficient. Please refer to the directions on “Formula 409 Antibacterial Kitchen” label.
